Influence of the radial electric field on the structure of plasma current in a toroidal trap

Description
In the quasi-stationary plasma discharges the structure of the plasma currents appreciably differs from prediction of the plasma theory for stationary equilibrium. The appearance of additional harmonics of the plasma currents was caused by the charge of radial electric field in a plasma. This phenomenon can be used for the plasma diagnostics, in particular, for measurement of the change of radial electric field in the L-H transition
