The effect of borate and phospate inhibitors on Inconel 600 and Inconel 690 corrosion rate in chloride containing solution

Description

Determination of inconel 600 and 690 in chloride containing solution to see the effect borate and phosphate inhibitors using potentiodynamic method has been done. NaCl 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 and 8% solution is used as tested solution. A tested material is ground by grinding paper on grade 400, 600, 800, and 1000, then polished by METADI 1/4 microns paste to get homogeneity. Furthermore, the tested material is mounted resin, so only the surface which contacts to tested solution is open. From the result obtained that corrosion not detected. The corrosion rate is detected 0,001 mpy in test solution containing 6,7 and 8% NaCl
