The dynamics of Langmuir solitons in the presence of ion-sound damping
Description
The Langmuir soliton in the presence of driven ion-sound damped due to plasma electrons is considered. Starting from the modified Zakharov equations, the nonlinear Schroedinger equation with small operator term is obtained which describes nonstationary Langmuir soliton evolution. The Karpman-Maslov perturbation approach based on the inverse scattering method is used to find the variation of solitons, parameters and and form. (author)
