Study of the complete fusion mechanism in the 16O+63Cu reaction
Description
Absolute values of the cross sections for most evaporation channels consecutive to the complete 16O+63Cu fusion have been measured for incident 16O energies ranging between 40 and 85MeV, through the observation of the corresponding γ activities. They give evidence for a limitation in the contributing incident partial waves for energies above 50MeV. The excitation functions of the various evaporation channels are satisfactorily accounted for, in shape and magnitude, by statistical evaporation calculations performed with the code ALICE. They allow a very precise determination of the variation of the critical angular momentum with the excitation energy of the compound nucleus

Les valeurs absolues des sections efficaces ont ete mesurees pour la plupart des canaux d'evaporation consecutifs a la fusion complete 16O+63Cu pour des energies incidentes de 16O comprise entre 40 et 85MeV par l'observation des activites des γ correspondants. Elles indiquent une limitation pour les ondes partielles incidentes a des energies superieures a 50MeV. Les fonctions d'excitation des differents canaux d'evaporation sont calculees d'une facon satisfaisante en forme et en grandeur par des calculs statistiques faits avec le code ALICE. Ils permettent une determination tres precise de la variation du moment angulaire critique avec l'energie d'excitation du noyau composeFiles
