Description

Heterogeneous equilibria at 25 deg C in the system comprising barium iodide, aminoacetic acid and water are investigated. The formation of three hydrated complex compounds - tetra-, tri- and diglycinates of barium iodide is established. The compounds represent crystalline, nonhydroscopic and nonoxidizing in the light substances insoluble in nonpolar organic solvents, well soluble in water and having individual values of relative density. The analysis of IR spectra has shown that the ligand in all three compounds is coordinated with complexing agent through oxygen atoms of the ionized carboxyl group
