Cosmions and the age problem

Creators

Description

Cosmions are suggested as a solution to the solar neutrino problem. Are they also able to lower the globular-cluster ages enough to remove the inconsistencies between the ages of these objects (as deduced from the comparison of their observed HR diagrams to the standard theoretical ones) and the age of a universe with vanishing cosmological constant? This question is discussed in the present paper, and it is explained that such a hope can, in principle, be fulfilled using the conventional cosmion hypothesis. (author)
