Detection of the tumor extent of lung cancer by means of computed tomography

For the detection of the tumor extent including lymphnodal metastasis of lung cancer, BAG-CT and experimental studies of CT-lymphography in dogs were performed and these diagnostic ability were discussed. On 24 primary lung cancer, the tumor overlapping atelectasis or obstructive pneumonia was clearly demonstrated by BAG-CT. CT-lymphography using indirect lymphographic method could demonstrate an excellent opacification of the hilar lymphonodes. (author)
