A Hydrogen strategy for the Grand Est region 2020-2030

Description

To significantly combat climate change, it is essential to develop alternatives to fossil fuels. Among these alternatives, hydrogen is a resource of the future with a rich potential that the Grand Est region must continue to invest in. At a time when environmental issues are guiding the Region's policies more than ever, the regional hydrogen strategy aims to roll out an action plan integrating the entire sector, from production to uses (industrial, refuelling stations, means of transport) via storage and distribution. The Grand Est Region's 2020-2030 strategy is based on 5 key objectives: Position hydrogen in the energy mix to cover regional needs; Develop decarbonized heavy mobility; Involve industry in the hydrogen sector and decarbonize its uses; Promote access to knowledge and improve skills; Organize governance in line with national and European plans.
