Resonant electron-electron bremsstrahlung in the field of an electromagnetic wave

Description
Bremsstrahlung due to electron-electron collisions in the field of a weak electromagnetic wave is considered in the resonance region corresponding to transition of a virtual electron into the mass shell. The cross section for the process is obtained and its magnitude with respect to that for ordinary bremsstrahlung in the free case is estimated. It is shown that the mechanism may lead to amplification of the bremsstrahlung radiation in the resonance region combined with simultaneous recording of a large-angle scattered electron
