Metastable He (n=2) - Ne potential interaction calculation

Diabatic potential terms corresponding to He (21S)-Ne and He (23S)-Ne interactions are calculated. These potentials reproduce the experimental results thermal metastable atom elastic scattering on Ne target. A model which reduces the interaction to a one-electron problem is proposed: the He excited electron. Its interaction with the He+ center is reproduced by a ''l'' dependent potential model with a 1/2 behaviour at short range. The electron interaction facing the Ne is described by a l-dependent pseudopotential reproducing with accuracy the electron elastic scattering on a Ne atom. The importance of the corrective term related to the Ne polarizations by the electron and the He+ ion is showed in this work. In the modelling problems, the accuracy cannot be better than 0.1 MeV

On calcule les termes de potentiels diabatiques correspondant aux interactions He (21S) - Ne et He (23S) - Ne. Ces potentiels reproduisent les resultats experimentaux relatifs a la diffusion elastique d'atomes metastables thermiques sur cible de Ne. On propose un modele qui reduit le probleme des interactions a un probleme a un electron: l'electron excite de l'He. Son interaction avec le centre He+ est reproduite par un modele potentiel ''l'' dependant et se comportant en l/r2 a courte portee. L'interaction de l'electron vis-a-vis du Ne est decrite par un pseudo-potentiel ''l'' dependant reproduisant avec precision les resultats de diffusion elastique d'un electron sur l'atome de Ne. On montre dans ce travail l'importance du terme correctif relatif aux polarisations du Ne par l'electron et l'ion He+. On montre que la precision que l'on peut atteindre dans les problemes de modelisation ne peut etre meilleure que 0.1 MeVFiles
