Simulation of laser-matter interaction in subpicosecond range using computer algebra for numerical code development

Description
The interaction of extremely short laser pulses with plasma is studied using numerical simulation. The FIDE package is briefly described, used for semiautomatic development and analysis of the simulation code. The physical model and the results of simulation of the interaction of a 1 ps laser pulse with an Al plasma are presented. The processes of laser absorption and heat flux limitations are discussed.
