Dynamics and radiation of thin foil in the field of super-intense laser pulse

Description

The formation of relativistic electron mirror produced via ionization of thin solid target by ultra-intense femtosecond laser pulse is considered. The reaction force of the intrinsic radiation of a bunch can play a significant role in the acceleration process because it gives rise to compression of the bunch in the longitudinal direction and stabilizes it. It is shown that the reflection of a weak counter-propagating wave from such a mirror can produce the coherent radiation in X-ray and gamma-ray bands. The efficiency of up-conversion process is estimated and the spectrum of up-shifted radiation is investigated
