Renewable energies for 'dummies'

This publication notably aims at showing that renewable energies which are one of the solutions in the struggle against climate change, can be simple to implement. The author presents and comments the definitions of different notions related to energy, proposes a brief history of the relationship between mankind and energy, gives an overview of the different technologies of renewable energies, discusses the integration and use of these renewable energies in different sectors (agriculture, transports, industry, building, data centres). He describes the operation of the renewable energy market, discusses the main technical, financial, political and societal stakes of this sector, and then discusses how we can act, at an individual or local level, in favour of the environment.
