Multiperiodicity in RRs and delta Scuti stars: an observational view

Creators

  • 1. Arizona Univ., Tucson (USA)

Description

This review deals with three questions: 1) are delta Scuti stars really periodic or only quasiperiodic; 2) are tidal modulations responsible for the slow cyclic variations observed in many of these stars or not; and 3) are there any real physical differences between the members of the delta Scuti and RRs groups or are they actually the same kind of object. These questions are discussed in the light of recent observational results. (B.D.)
