Current trends in life management programs of nuclear power plants

Full text: Life management programs of nuclear power plants had an evolution over the years in relation with the economy and political situation of the corresponding countries. However there are aspects that are coincident in all of them, like the chapter connected to safety. Life management programs currently in progress in different countries according to the reactor type are analyzed and compared in the present paper. Also, this is related to orientations elaborated in cooperation with the IAEA. Finally, guidelines considered important to be taken into account for the elaboration of a life management programme in our country are given
