Universality, critical exponents and mass gap in the D→0 limit of the model of dynamically triangulated random surfaces

Description

We give new analytical and numerical evidence of universality of critical behaviour of the model of dynamically triangulated random surfaces. In the limit D→0 of the model the critical coupling β and the exponent of susceptibility γ as a function of the ''irrelevant'' parameter α are calculated by means of a specific Monte Carlo procedure. γ(α) appears to be a constant in a wide range of α. This signal of universality is accomplished by the analytical result dγ/dαvertical strokeα=0=0. The mass gap m0 is calculated numerically and is shown to satisfy the scaling law m0∝vertical strokeβ-βcvertical strokeν'. (orig.)
