  • 1. Nauchno-Issledovatel'skij i Konstruktorskij Inst. Ehnergotekhniki, Moscow (Russian Federation)

Description

The reactor installation ATU-2 destines for use as the steam production installation, included in the atomic power plant or thermal power plant, worked in the local energy systems. This installation consists from water cooled graphite moderated reactor with tube fuel elements, circuit of natural circulation and other systems, provided its work. The tube fuel elements consisted from two coaxial shells, between which has high thermal conduction fuel matrix with uranium dioxide. The fuel element has been cooling the coolant up pressure, moved in the internal tube. The construction of the tube fuel elements provides three general qualities of safety for a reactor installation
