A flat dose-equivalent-response dosimeter for fast neutrons using CR-39
Description
In Part I, the experimental approach to tailoring the dose-equivalent response of CR 39 to become independent of the incident-neutron energy is dealt with. The ability to predict this theoretically is desirable. This paper reports on the mathematical model adopted to simulate the energy and angular response of CR 39 to neutrons. The neutron responses are constructed from the calculated proton response-function. Results indicate that CR 39 has a highly forward-peaked response. The implications of this are briefly discussed.
