New contributions to the cosmological constant

Description

It is shown that the quantized gravitino sector of N=1, D=11 supergravity leads to new contributions to the D=4 dimensional cosmological constant, in addition to the one coming from the field strength of the three index totally anti-symmetric tensor field. This new contributions arise from the vacuum expectation values of the different auxiliary fields introduced in order to eliminate the quartic gravitino interaction terms. (Author)

Mostra-se que o setor do gravitino quantizado da supergravidade N=1, D=11 conduz a novas contribuicoes a constante cosmologica dimensional D=4, em adicao a uma vindo da intensidade do campo tensorial de 3 indices totalmente anti-simetrico. Essas novas contribuicoes surgem dos valores esperados do vacuo dos diferentes campos auxiliares introduzidos a fim de eliminar os termos de interacao a quarta potencia do gravitino. (L.C.)
