Description

It is pointed out that the ambiguity which characterizes gauge conditions of the type Δsup(μ) βsub(μν) Asup(a)(x)sup(ν) = C1sup(a)(x) for non Abelian gauge theories is also characteristic of the so-called axial-like gauge conditions n.Asup(a) = C2sup(a)(x), where, here, Asub(μ)sup(a) is the non Abelian gauge potential, βsub(μν) = gsub(μν) or βsub(μν) = gsub(μν) - delta sub(μo)delta sub(νo), nsub(μ) is a four-vector such that n2 = 0, 1, or -1, and Csub(1,2)sup(a) are usually Asub(μ)sup(a)-independent functions of x; gsub(μν) is the Minkowski metric and delta sub(ij) is the Kronecker delta.
