Generalized Callan--Symanzik equations and the renormalization group

A set of generalized Callan--Symanzik equations derived by Symanzik, relating Green's functions with an arbitrary number of mass insertions, is shown to be equivalent to the new renormalization-group proposed by S. Weinberg
