Process for detecting leaks in a heat exchanger operating

Description

The process and the device are more particularly interesting for superheater heat-exchangers. The device comprises a temporary storage volume of a tracer gas such as helium and means to inject it fastly in the high-pressure inlet of the heat exchanger. A sampling point of a low-pressure fluid fraction is connected to a detector. A calibration injection system can be also provided

Abstract (French)

Le procede et le dispositif sont notamment applicables aux echangeurs de surchauffe de vapeur. Le dispositif comporte un volume de stockage temporaire d'une quantite determinee de gaz traceur et des moyens pour le chasser rapidement dans l'entree de fluide haute pression de l'echangeur. Un piquage de prelevement d'une fraction du fluide basse pression est relie a un detecteur. Un systeme d'injection de calibrage peut egalement etre prevu
