One-pion exchange and the asymptotic S-state amplitude of the deuteron wavefunction

Description
We show that the S-matrices for a Yukawa potential and for a Yukawa potential with a cut-off radius R give practically identical values for the derivative of the effective range function at the deuteron binding energy. This validates recent results on the determination of the S-state amplitude of the deuteron wavefunction from the neutron-proton eigenphases. (orig.)
