Titanium effect on mechanical properties of Fe-Cr-Co cast specimens
- 1. Nauchno-Issledovatel'skij Inst. Postoyannykh Magnitov, Novocherkassk (USSR)
Description
Mechanical properties (ductility, impact strength, hardness) and coercive force of Fe-26% Cr-12%Co alloy sample containing 0-4% Ti were studied. It has been shown that alloying with titanium leads to the decrease of ductilily and increase of hardness and coercive force of Fe-Cr-Co alloys. The titanium-free alloy designed for permanent magnets admits cold plastic deformation with a high percentage reduction in area preserving high magnetic properties
