Desmidias (zygnemaphyceae) of a small tributary of the Amazons River in Colombia

Description
This is a contribution to the knowledge of the freshwater algae of the Colombian Amazon region. Two of the 13 taxa are reported for the first time from Colombia and 10 are new records for the Colombian Amazon. Ecological characteristics are given for these desmids
