CANDU safety systems and operating philosophies
Description
With the recent completion of the Ontario Nuclear Safety Review (reported in the last issue of the McMaster Energy Newsletter), nuclear safety remains of topical interest. This paper, selected from among submissions from last years senior undergraduate students in the Engineering Physics Program at McMaster, is a review of the operational safety features of the CANDU nuclear reactor and its associated operating philosophy
