Effect HF plasma heating on the influx of metal impurities in the Uragan-3 torsatron

Description

It is shown experimentally that, when creating and heating the plsma by HF fields in the region of IC resonance in the Uragan-3 torsatron, there is correlation between the value of amplitude of peripheral plasma potential oscillations at pump frequency and its harmonics and intensity of line radiations of chromium and iron atoms entering from the surface of a jacket of magnetic field screw winding. On this basis the conclusion is made, concerning impurity extraction from the jacket surface, which is caused by interaction of this surface and a flow of charged particles entering under the action of potential oscillations. It is also detected that intensity of titanium atom line luminescence from the antenna surface correlates the value of ion flux with energy >or approx. 100 eV, araising during HF pulse on the plasma periphery in the region of a divertor flow of the magnetic field. On this basis the conclusion is made, concerning titanium entering the plasma, which is caused by ion sputtering of the antenna surface on the regions crossed by a divertor magnetic flow
