Some perspectives of the use of E.M.F. method with CaF2-type electrolyte for thermodynamic study of refractory double oxides
Description
The theory of calculation of the potentials of the cells with CaF2-type eletrolyte and electrodes based on refractory oxides O2, Pt/ ( M1O )/Ca F2/ ( M2O )/Pt, O2 is proposed. The conditions of reversibility of such cells are analyzed for obtaining the thermodynamic parameters of the cell reactions under study. The theoretical analysis and experimental results demonstrate the possibilities of using the cells with CaF2-type electrolyte for thermodynamic study of new classes of refractory compounds based on oxides of alkaline earth and rare earth or transition metals
