Description
The π-p → π0π0n reaction is investigated near the threshold to check the chiral theory of strong interactions. The reaction was investigated on an experimental setup which detected γ-quanta from decays of π0-mesons by means of two pairs of the Cherenkov spectrometers. The total cross section of the π-p → π0π0n reaction has been measured at 240 +- 10 MeV. It is equal to (0.13 +- 0.02)mb. The isotopic analysis of the πN → ππN reaction at this energy is performed. The ratio of isotopic amplitudes X=F10/F32 is equal to 3.8 + 0.6
