The RMS emittance and marginal emittance of particle beams

Description

Based on the matrix theory of n-dimensional hyper ellipsoid in phase space, the general formula connecting RMS emittance with marginal emittance is derived. Some typical examples are worked out in detail to show practical applications of the formula
