Geophysical neutron-gamma borehole logging device
Description
The pulse height analyzer and the control loop of the energy measuring system are set up on the surface of the ground. The measuring pulses are transmitted by the measuring cable. The reference value used for amplification control of the energy measuring system is the peak energy level of hydrogen of 2.33 MeV, which is always present. This obviates the need for a separate calibration radiation source. What is needed is only an additional comparison stage, the input side of which is connected to the respective channels of the pulse height analyzer while the output side is connected to the setting terminal of the energy measuring system. Der Impulshoehenanalysator und die Regelschleife der Energiemesseinrichtung sind an der Erdoberflaeche angeordnet. Die Messimpulse werden ueber das Vermessungskabel uebertragen. Als Referenzwert zur Verstaerkungsregelung der Energiemesseinrichtung dient der Wasserstoff-Spitzenenergiewert von 2,33 MeV, der stets vorhanden ist. Die Notwendigkeit einer besonderen Eichstrahlungsquelle entfaellt hierdurch. Es bedarf lediglich einer zusaetzlichen Vergleichsstufe, die eingangsseitig an die betreffenden Kanaele des Impulskoehenanalysators und ausgangsseitig and die Einstellklemme der Energiemesseinrichtung angeschlossen ist.
