Introduction of the thermal gradient influence in the damage laws
Description
In order to model the thermo-mechanical behaviour of a fuel rod, the micro-fissuring of the fuel pellet is taken into account to evaluate its mechanical characteristics. More generally, a micro-fissured thermoelastic material submitted to a spatially non-uniform temperature increase with strong gradients is considered. The aim is to build a model of homogenized behaviour taking into account these strong spatial variations. Then, a numerical validation of this model is performed using the finite-element method of the ASTER code. (J.S.). 5 refs., 3 figs
