On some propionamide complexes with metal acetates

Description

Complexes of metal acetates, Cd in particular, with propioneamide of the composition M(CH3COO)2xPA have been synthesized. Vibrational spectra of the complexes and ligand have been studied. A supposition is made that ligand coordination is realized by means of oxygen atom of carbonyl group. Values of molar electric conductivity of the complexes are presented. All the complexes in ethanol solutions are not electrolytes. During cadmium complex heating removal of propioneamide takes place in the temperature range 195-260 deg. Subsequent heating results in the formation of CdO and its phase transformation
