Muon momentum spectrum and charge ratio up to 15 TeV/c
- 1. Kinki Univ., Fuse, Osaka (Japan). Atomic Energy Research Inst.
Description
The cosmic ray muon momentum spectrum and charge ratio up to 15 TeV/c at zenith angles from 870 to 900 have been measured by a solid iron magnet spectrometer. The exponent of the differential spectrum of parent mesons increases gradually with momentum as γ=2.66+-0.02 for corresponding muon momentum at approximately 0.8 TeV/c to γ=2.81+-0.05 at approximately 5 TeV/c. The charge ratio (μ+/μ-) changes slowly as 1.24+-0.01 at approximately 0.1 TeV/c, 1.30+-0.03 at approximately 1 TeV/c, and stays almost constant up to 10 TeV/c
