Description

An analysis of the influence of the nuclear potential deformation on the compound nucleus cross section in the neutron inelastic scattering process in the 82Se was made. The deformation of the optical potential was considered by using different collective models. The transmission coefficients calculated in the frame of the coupled channel method were used to find direct and compound cross sections. It was shown that the consideration of deformed transmission coefficients in the calculation of compound cross section increases its values in 10%-16% at energies ≤ 3MeV, so that let us to describe satisfactorily the experimental integral and differential cross section in this energy range
