Comparison between different categorizations of PWR nuclear power plants conditions
Description
The NPP conditions (or states) are categorized by IAEA Safety Requirements No. NS-R-1-2000 and National Code of regulations HAF102 into Normal Operations, Anticipated Operational Occurrences, Design Basis Accidents and Severe Accidents, and also categorized by US NRC RG1.70 and National Professional Standard EJ/T312 into Normal Operation, Faults of Moderate Frequency, Infrequent Faults, and Limiting Faults. Occurrence Frequencies of the two approaches of condition categorizations are stated by references to related documents, and analyses and comparisons between them are provided. (author)
