Outlook for nuclear power
Creators
Description
In spite of the Three Mile Island incident, a shift toward nuclear power may be observed in many countries abroad, because forces are at work that simply are closing out the non-nuclear option. This is an accumulation of militating forces--world events, unrest in the Mid-East, strong words from opinion leaders, shifting media stance, new UK government rejuvenating its nuclear program, COMECON making N-plants their mainstay, Third World demand for oil, stronger feeling of national self-interest in the U.S. and cold fear of energy starvation
