Solvent extraction of aurocyanide by extractant CTMAB and TBP

Description
A novel extraction system using KAu(CN)2-CTMAB as aqueous phase and 30% TBP-dodecane as organic phase is studied by 198Au radioactive tracer and FT-IR spectroscopy. The results show that the organic phase separates into two phases, when the gold concentration is bigger than 20 g/L. From the analysis of FT-IR it is seen that the most of gold is in the lower organic phase
