Investigations related to fixation of radioactive waste in bitumen

Little information are so far reported concerning the effect of solidified salts in models of radioactive of (PWR) of type (VVER - 440) with bitumen (A - 80) especially under certain technological parameters. The aim of this thesis that, there are directed adequae procedures for preparation of solidified matrix from bitumen , with certain models of (RAW) of (PWR) by thin evaporator. This helps in studying the effect of KNO3 on penetration, softening point, flash point and leachability . The radiations stability of the matrix of b Bitumen with models of (RAW) of (PWR) were studied by different models. The first part concerning with effect of percent of salts in models on the radiation stability of matrix. The second part bconcerning with the effect of detergents in models . Finally, the effect of these factors on the rate of creation of gases from solid matrix due to different doses. Consequently the effect of gases on the explosition time limit. 44 tabs.,9 figs., 57 refs
