Combined stellarator with a spatial axis and helical windings

PLasma equilibrium and stability in a stellarator, the axis of which presents a helical line, and in the presence of external helical fields have been studied. Descriptor of equilibrium configuration is made polytically on the basis of converted variables using expansion over minor parameters. It is shown that twisting of the conventional stellarator axis gives an additional possibility of a considerable increase in the ultimate value β=2 anti p/B2 (by the factor of 2-3)
