Beam quality control for linear colliders

Description
In this part of the tutorial we present, on one side, a detailed description of some new beam diagnostic devices, and, on the other side, a set of problems regarding the basic operational principles of these devices. The recent developments in accelerator technology tend toward high intensity beams of very small size. This requires nondestructive beam diagnostic tools with high space and time resolution. It is the main reason for returning to the old idea of using an electron beam as a nondestructive beam diagnostic tool
