Means for fixing a curved tube
Description
Means for fixing a curved tube in a hole passing through a plate or similar structure by a single-part sleeve. The inner surface of the sleeve is shaped to match the outer surface of the curved tube whereas the outside of the sleeve is cylindrical or conical. The sleeve provides for an elastic bracing, e.g. by a slot. Permanent fixing of the sleeve to the plate may be achieved by welding or screwing. The arrangement is particularly suited for HTGR steam generators since it avoids the danger of fretting. (author)
