Metal--insulator transition in Eu-rich EuO

Description
We discuss a simple model for the metal--insulator transition in Eu-rich EuO. Trap states associated with the O vacancies act as donor states. The transition is driven by the exchange field generated by the long-range magnetic order. We obtain results which are in fair agreement with the experimental results for values of the parameters of the model appropriate for EuO
