Application of pulsating current to high purification of metals by electrorefining in chloride melts

Description
Possibilities of pulse current application for deep purification of tin and cadmium of '0000' type by the method of electrorefining of their chloride melts are studied. Current with frequency up to 10000Hz for cadmium and 1000 Hz for tin was used. It is shown that application of pulse current increases efficiency of metal purification by 20-50% in comparison with electrorefining by constant current
