Effects of chemical mutagens on four species of grain legumes

Description
The grain legumes cultivated in Bangladesh have narrow genetic bases. A mutation breeding programme was therefore initiated using NaN3 and EMS. Optimum working dose ranges of these chemical mutagens for four grain legumes were determined and their biological effects on the M1 generation are reported here. (author)
