Description
In 2002, the Finland government decided to construct the country's 5th nuclear power station. In December 2005, the consort AREVA NP/Siemens was charged by Finland power utility Teollisuuden Voima Oy (TVO) with the task of turnkey construction of a nuclear power station at Olkiluoto where two BWR reactors are already in operation. AREVA NP supplied the reactor while Siemens constructed the turbine and generator. AREVA NPUewas project leader and also responsible for technical and integral integration and consort leadership.
