Contract Report for Option Study of Spent Nuclear Fuel Transportation

This project was performed to establish the basis of transportation through the general option study of transportation system, transportation method, investigation of transportation scenario for the safe transportation of spent nuclear fuel to an interim storage facility. The results obtained from this project will be applied as a basic data for the national consensus and the selection of the site for the spent fuel interim storage. The project contains the analyses of the regulation and state of the art for spent fuel transportation, the derivation of basic data through the basic assumption and analysis of transportation system, the achievement of the applicable transportation system and transportation scenario by the qualitative comparison, and the investigation process of a suitable transportation option by the comparison from technical and economics analysis
