Multi-needle counter C.F. (Cathode Focusing) used to detect the thermo-stimulated exo-emissive (T.S.E.E.)

Description
The aim of the results obtained is to show that cathode focusing multi-needles detectors are very straightforwardly adapted to the detection of the thermostimulated exoelectronic emission. The prototype used here results from a small scale laboratory manufacture and does not make use of any selected material. Nevertheless, its use highlights certain characteristics which may appear to be advantageous with an intensive operation in view: simple fabrication, high voltage of moderate value, solidity reducing maintenance to straightforward cleaning (in the case of the analysis of pulverulent deposits), large counting dynamics, low sensitivity to the pollution of the gas mixture, and the possibility of obtaining large detecting surfaces capable of taking into account the cartography of a large emitting deposit or numerous regrouped small individual deposits
Abstract (French)
Les resultats obtenus ont pour but de montrer que les detecteurs multipointes a focalisation cathodique sont adaptables tres simplement a la detection de l'emission exoelectronique thermostimulee (E.E.T.S.). Le prototype utilise ici resulte d'une fabrication artisanale de laboratoire et ne fait intervenir aucun materiau selectionne. Neanmoins, son emploi fait ressortir certaines caracteristiques, qui peuvent paraitre avantageuses: la simplicite de fabrication, la valeur moderee de la haute tension, la robustesse reduisant la maintenance a un simple nettoyage (dans le cas d'analyse de depots pulverulants), la large dynamique de comptage, la faible sensibilite vis-a-vis de la pollution du melange, et la possibilite d'obtenir de grandes surfaces detectrices capables de prendre en compte la cartographie soit d'un grand depot emetteur, soit de nombreux petits depots individuels regroupesAdditional details
