Reorientation cross sections in collisions of He(1S) + H2(B 1Σu+)
- 1. Univ. of California, Berkeley, CA (United States)
- 2. Lawrence Berkeley Lab., CA (United States)
Description
Reorientation cross sections have been computed for the subject system using a potential energy surface (PES) and model previously used for rovibrational energy transfer. The model consists of restricting scattering to energy transfer on the excited states PES, which is expected to be a good approximation to the collision energies of interest, and the use of the coupled-channel method
