Description
Soft-gluon corrections are made to the leading-order structure-function moments in deep-inelastic scattering. The technique is to use a previously suggested Bloch-Nordsieck type of regularization to remove the nonintegrable and delta-function singularities in the Altarelli-Parisi splitting functions. The relationship between this approach and perturbative QCD is discussed. Agreement between the corrected moments and experimental data is good
